    Get ready for a remarkable journey as we leave behind our cozy hotel and head to the western side of Kilimanjaro. Our thrilling adventure begins at the Londorossi Gate. Here, we'll meet our skilled team of helpers and guides and complete all the necessary paperwork before we start our trek. As we enter the lush rainforest habitat, the path gently goes uphill, and the sounds of birds and velvet monkeys fill the air. After 3-4 hours of trekking, we'll reach Mti Mkubwa, our first campsite, nestled among the enchanting forest canopy.

    Today, we say goodbye to the rainforest and enter a different area called the heath and moorland zone. The scenery treats us to amazing panoramic views of the edge of Shira Plateau. Even though the terrain might challenge our bodies to get used to the altitude, our guides will make sure we take short breaks to recharge. Our goal is to reach Shira I Camp, which is at a height of 3,505 meters. We'll spend the night here under the vast African sky.

    Enjoy a shorter walk today as we explore the moorland habitat, going up about 350 meters. This is an important day to help our bodies adjust to the higher altitude. We'll also have a chance to take in the stunning views of the Shira Plateau, with its breathtaking sights of Kibo, the biggest volcanic cone on Kilimanjaro.

    The most awaited day of our expedition is here! At midnight, we begin the thrilling final trek to the summit. Zigzagging our way from Hans Mayer Cave to Gilman's Point, we'll witness a spectacular sunrise that fills us with energy and motivation. After a rest at Gilman's Point, we continue our ascent to Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 5,895 meters. Capture amazing photos and savor the accomplishment before descending to Barafu Camp for lunch. Our descent then takes us to the Millennium Camp, where we'll spend the night, reliving the memories of our triumphant summit.

    Day 9: from Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

    Our last part of the journey leads us through lush forests. The steady descent becomes easier as we get closer to the Mweka Gate. There, we'll officially leave the national park, proudly receiving our summit certificates. As we pass through a coffee farm, we'll be taken back to Moshi, where we'll hold onto the memories of our extraordinary Kilimanjaro adventure.
