RELATED FAQS ABOUT 9 Days Premium Family Wildlife Learning Journey

    1. Is this itinerary suitable for young children?

The safari can suit children whose parents believe they can manage long road transfers and remain seated during game drives. The private vehicle provides greater flexibility with snacks and comfort stops. Children’s ages should be provided before booking so suitable accommodation can be requested. Families with toddlers may need shorter game-drive periods than families with older children. Parents remain responsible for supervision throughout the safari.

    2. Are child seats and family rooms available?

Child seats can be requested, but parents must provide the child’s age, approximate weight and required seat type. Family rooms, connecting rooms and extra beds depend on the selected properties. Some lodges provide one family unit, while others use nearby rooms. The required arrangement must be confirmed before payment. Availability can be limited during busy travel seasons.

    3. How will the guide keep children interested?

The guide may use tracks, coat patterns, animal families and simple conservation stories to maintain interest. Children can keep a wildlife checklist, take photographs or compare animals across different parks. Explanations will be adjusted according to age and attention level. The safari remains interactive rather than becoming a classroom lecture. Parents may share their children’s main interests before departure.

    4. Is the Lake Naivasha boat activity safe for children?

The boat should be operated by an authorised provider using appropriate safety equipment. Children must wear the supplied life jackets and remain seated when instructed. The activity may be cancelled when wind or water conditions are unsafe. Parents should provide the children’s ages before confirming the booking. A land-based activity may be considered when boating is unsuitable.

    5. What should families pack?

Families should bring comfortable neutral clothing, warm morning layers, hats, sunscreen and closed shoes. Children may also need familiar snacks, hygiene supplies and quiet road activities. Binoculars and notebooks can make the wildlife experience more engaging. Essential medication and valuable electronics should remain in hand luggage. Parents should carry specialised infant food that may not be available at the lodges.
