Day 1: Starting Hiking Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut Kilimanjaro

Start your hike from Marangu Gate (1,830m) and walk through a lush rainforest for 3-4 hours until you reach Mandara Hut (2,740m). Enjoy dinner and spend the night surrounded by the beauty of the montane forest.

Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut Hiking Kilimanjaro

Embark on a 5-6 hour hike through the forest, heath land, and moorland zones. Marvel at the views of Kilimanjaro peaks and Moshi town along the way. Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,690m) where you'll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Continue Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Prepare for a challenging day as you ascends to Kibo Hut (4,695m) in 5-6 hours. Cross the barren sub-alpine terrain of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Rest and prepare for the next stage, the summit attempt, starting at midnight.

Day 4: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak, then to Horombo Hut

Begin the summit climb around midnight, following the zigzag path up the scree slope. After about 5 hours, reach Gillman's Point (5,685m) for breathtaking views. Walk for another 45 minutes to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Descend for 3-4 hours to Kibo Hut and rest. Continue descending to Horombo Hut (3,690m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Finalize Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

On the final day enjoys an easier downhill hike from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate. Walk for about 5-7 hours through the rainforest, taking in the scenic beauty along the way. Arrive at Marangu Gate (1,830m) where a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to Moshi.
