Day 1: Start trek at Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Marangu Gate where you will complete the necessary paperwork. The trek begins through the rainforest, offering a chance to spot primates. You will trek for approximately 5 hours to reach the Mandara Hut at an altitude of 2700m. Enjoy the scenic views and rest for the night. Distance: 8.3km / 5.2mi approx. time: 5 hours Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 2: Then trek further from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Start the day with an early breakfast. The trail takes you through the timberline and into the heath and moor zone. After 9 hours of trekking, you will reach the Horombo Hut at 3700m. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi, Kibo, and the Masai steppe. Distance: 12.5km / 7.8mi approx. time: 9 hours Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 3: Challenging trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Today's stage is long and challenging. You will pass the "Last Water point" and cross the saddle that connects Kibo and Mawenzi. After 7 hours of trekking, you will arrive at the Kibo Hut at 4700m. Rest and prepare for the summit trek. Distance: 9.5km / 5.9mi approx. time: 7 hours Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 4: Summit day! Kibo Hut to Summit and down to Horombo Hut

Today is the summit day. Begin your final ascent around midnight, passing the Hans Meyer Cave and trekking towards Gilman's Point at 5681m on the crater rim. Witness a beautiful sunrise as you continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Kilimanjaro at 5895m. After reaching the summit, descend back to Kibo Hut for a meal and short rest. Then, continue down to Horombo Hut. Distance: 22km / 13.7mi approx. time: 12-15 hours Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 5: Last Day trek from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

On the last day, trek through the heath and moor zone, passing Mandara Hut and descending through the tropical rainforest. After approximately 8 hours of trekking, you will reach the Marangu Gate at 1860m. Say goodbye to your guides and transfer back to your hotel in Moshi, where you can enjoy a warm shower and celebrate your summit success.
