    Distance: 8km/5 miles Habitat: Rainforest After breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, we will drive for approximately 1 hour to Marangu Gate. Upon reaching the gate, we will complete the necessary registration before starting our trek. The trail winds through the dense rainforest, gradually ascending along a ridge. After 4-5 hours of trekking, we will reach Mandara Hut at an elevation of 8,858ft. Our porters and cook will have already arrived to set up camp. You can enjoy a snack before dinner and spend the night at Mandara Hut.

    Day 2: Trek Mandara Hut (8,858ft/2,680m) up to Horombo Hut (12,205ft/3,695m)

    Distance: 12km/7 miles Habitat: Heath We begin the day by leaving the rainforest behind and entering the heathen moorland. As we ascend, we will pass by the Maundi Crater and trekking up to its rim, where we can enjoy a magnificent view of the Kibo Crater. The heathen moorland is home to unique plant species, including giant lobelias and groundsel. After 6-8 hours of trekking, we will reach Horombo Hut situated on a small plateau. Our porters and cook will have already set up camp, and you can enjoy a snack before dinner. The temperatures at night can drop below freezing, so be prepared.

    Distance: 10km/6 miles Habitat: Alpine Desert We start the day early with breakfast and continue our ascent into the alpine desert habitat. The trail leads us to Kibo Hut, located in the "Saddle" between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. This area is characterized by an arid and barren landscape. There is no water available at Kibo Hut, so our porters will carry water for cooking and drinking from the last water point near Horombo Hut. After an early dinner, we will rest and prepare for the summit attempt, which will take place at midnight.

    Day 4: Kibo Hut (15,430ft/4,670m) up to Uhuru Peak (19,341ft/5,895m)

    Distance: 6km/4 miles Habitat: Arctic After waking up around midnight, we will have tea and biscuits before starting our summit attempt. The trail is rocky and leads to Hans Meyer Cave at 5,150m. We will continue our ascent to Gillman's Point at 5,681m, which marks a significant achievement. From there, we push on to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak, standing at 5,895m. Reaching the summit is a remarkable accomplishment, and we will spend a short time there to take photographs before descending back to Kibo Hut. The descent takes about 3 hours. At Kibo Hut, we will rest briefly, have a light meal, and then continue our descent to Horombo Hut (3,720m) for dinner, washing up, and overnight rest

    Day 5: Trek Horombo Hut (3,720m) up to Marangu Gate (6,046ft/1,830m)

    Distance: 20km/12 miles Habitat: Rainforest After a well-deserved breakfast, we will celebrate with the mountain crew through dancing and singing. This is also the time to present tips to our guides, assistant guides, chef(s), and porters. After the celebration, we will begin our descent, trekking for about 6 hours back to Marangu Gate (1,830m) via Mandara Hut (2,680m). At the gate, we will sign out and receive our certificates of completion. Those who reached Gillman's Point will receive green certificates, while those who reached Uhuru Peak will receive gold certificates. Finally, we will drive back to our hotel accommodation in Moshi for much-needed showers and further celebrations.
