Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, we will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in, our experienced mountain guide will conduct a detailed expedition briefing, inspect your equipment, and answer any questions you may have. This relaxed arrival day gives you time to recover from your journey and prepare confidently for your Kilimanjaro adventure

After breakfast, we will drive you to Lemosho Gate, where registration formalities will be completed before your climb begins. Our guide will lead you along a gentle 6 km rainforest trail, allowing you to walk at a comfortable pace while enjoying towering trees, moss-covered branches, giant ferns, and colorful birdlife. Along the way, you may spot black-and-white colobus monkeys before arriving at Mti Mkubwa Camp, where our mountain crew will have your camp ready.

Today's 8 km trek takes you from the rainforest into the beautiful heath and moorland zone. Our guide will maintain a steady, comfortable pace with regular rest breaks while you will enjoy panoramic views of the Shira Plateau, giant heather, volcanic rocks, and wild mountain flowers. By the time you reach Shira 1 Camp, you will already notice the dramatic change in scenery.

Cover approximately 7 km across the spectacular Shira Plateau. Our guide will encourage a relaxed pace to support acclimatization while you will enjoy uninterrupted views of Kibo Peak, ancient lava formations, and unique alpine vegetation. After reaching Shira 2 Camp, you may take a short acclimatization walk before dinner to help your body adapt to the increasing altitude.

Today's 9 km hike leads away from the main trail toward the peaceful Moir Hut area. Our guide will carefully monitor your pace while you will trek through rugged volcanic terrain surrounded by giant groundsels, alpine grasses, and rocky ridges. This quieter section of the mountain provides an excellent environment for acclimatization before the higher elevations ahead.

Altitude: Moir Hut Camp (4,200 m / 13,780 ft) → Lava Tower (4,630 m / 15,190 ft) → Barranco Camp (3,960 m / 12,990 ft)
Today's 10 km trek follows the proven "climb high, sleep low" strategy. Our guide will lead you steadily to Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp, helping your body adjust naturally to the altitude. Along the route, you will enjoy impressive volcanic formations, giant lobelias, giant groundsels, and breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro's glaciers.

Begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall. Our guide will show you the safest route while maintaining a comfortable pace suitable for active older travelers. During today's 5 km hike, you will cross scenic ridges and valleys before arriving at Karanga Camp, where there will be plenty of time to relax and prepare for the final ascent.

Today's 4 km walk is intentionally shorter to help conserve your energy. Our guide will accompany you across Kilimanjaro's alpine desert while you will enjoy magnificent views of Mawenzi Peak and the glaciers surrounding Uhuru Peak. After arriving at Barafu Camp, we will serve an early dinner before our guide will provide a detailed summit briefing.

Hiking Time: 11–14 hours
Altitude: Barafu Camp (4,673 m / 15,331 ft) → Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) → Mweka Camp (3,100 m / 10,170 ft)
Your summit attempt begins shortly after midnight. Our guide will lead you at a slow, steady pace while carefully monitoring your well-being throughout the 17 km journey. As the sun rises, you will stand on Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, before descending safely to Mweka Camp for your final overnight stay on the mountain.
