After breakfast, drive approximately 3 to 4 hours to Lemosho Gate, where your Kilimanjaro climbing adventure begins. Trek through the lush rainforest beneath towering trees filled with colorful birds, orchids, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. The soft forest light creates excellent conditions for wildlife, macro, and landscape photography. After hiking approximately 6 km, arrive at Mti Mkubwa Campsite, where you'll enjoy dinner and photograph the peaceful forest surroundings before your first overnight on the mountain.

The shorter hiking day allows plenty of time to capture dramatic cloud formations, alpine vegetation, and sweeping views of Kibo Peak. Upon arriving at Shira 2 Campsite, enjoy a relaxed afternoon photographing golden-hour landscapes and, if conditions allow, the spectacular star-filled African sky.
Today's trek heads toward the remote Moir Hut Camp, a quieter section of Kilimanjaro known for its dramatic volcanic scenery and fewer climbers. The rugged landscape, unique rock formations, and expansive mountain views make this an exceptional location for landscape photography. Optional acclimatization walks around the camp offer even more opportunities to capture panoramic views and unforgettable sunset images.
Today is one of the most photogenic days of the expedition. Trek to the impressive Lava Tower, where dramatic volcanic formations provide spectacular photography opportunities. After spending time at high altitude for acclimatization, descend to Barranco Camp through one of Kilimanjaro's most beautiful valleys. Along the way, photograph giant groundsels, rugged cliffs, glaciers, and breathtaking alpine scenery that make this section a favorite among photographers.

Today's short trek takes you to Barafu Camp, your final base before summit night. The rocky alpine terrain offers incredible views of Mawenzi Peak and surrounding glaciers. After arriving, organize your camera equipment, charge your spare batteries if using power banks, and prepare to capture one of Africa's most spectacular sunrise photography experiences from Uhuru Peak.
Your summit climb begins shortly after midnight beneath brilliant star-filled skies, offering exceptional opportunities for night photography. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) at sunrise and capture unforgettable images of Kilimanjaro's glaciers, the famous summit sign, and endless clouds stretching across Africa. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp, photographing the dramatic transition from alpine desert back into lush mountain forest.
