The 10-day Northern Circuit route Kilimanjaro climbing expedition offers a unique and awe-inspiring journey to conquer Africa highest peak. This less-trodden path provides a longer and more gradual ascent, maximizing acclimatization and increasing the chances of a successful summit.
Your journey begins on Day 1 with a warm welcome from our professional guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From there, you'll be chauffeured to your accommodation in Moshi town, where you'll receive a short briefing for the climb scheduled for the next day. We'll also ensure that all your climbing equipment and kits are in order.
Starts early with a departure from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, where you'll complete the necessary entry formalities. Our journey then continues to the Lemosho trailhead, arriving just in time for a delicious lunch. Afterward, we embark on a climb through an undisturbed forest, reaching our first campsite for the night.
The adventure continues as we venture out of the forest and onto a savannah adorned with tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock draped with lichen beards. As we ascend through the rolling hills and cross numerous streams, we'll eventually arrive at Shira Ridge, offering breathtaking views of Kibo from across the plateau. You'll spend the night at Shira Camp 1.
The following day, is dedicated to exploring the vast Shira plateau, one of the highest plateaus on Earth. This gentle walk provides an excellent acclimatization opportunity as we make our way towards Kibo's glaciered peak, eventually settling at Shira Camp 2.
Presents a change in altitude as we climb in high terrain and sleep at a lower altitude to aid the acclimatization process. The morning will be spent Climb up to Lava Tower and the iconic Shark's Tooth rock formation at 4,600 meters, where lunch will be served. Afterward, we'll head down to Moir Camp at 4,200 meters, part of the northern circuit.
Promises amazing views as we reach the summit of Little Lent Hill at 4,375 meters, followed by a return to the trail and an eastward journey to Buffalo Camp, where you'll be greeted by vast Kenyan plains stretching out to the north.
A shorter climb awaits as you continue eastward, feeling well acclimatized to the altitude. The route takes you to the Rongai Third Cave at 3,800 meters, where you'll arrive in the mid-afternoon.
Involves an ascent to The Saddle, a lunar panorama nestled between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. From there, we'll proceed to School Hut Campsite, where you can relax and prepare for the forthcoming summit day.
Marks the highlight of the journey, as you start your ascent to Uhuru Peak by midnight, reaching the Crater rim at daybreak. The trail leads west along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, passing by stunning glaciers and ice cliffs. After reveling in the breathtaking vistas, you'll retrace your steps to Stella Point before descending to Barafu Camp for lunch. The day concludes with a descent to Mweka Camp.

Is the final leg of your epic adventure, as you continue your descent to Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. From there, we'll head to Mweka Village, where our vehicle awaits to drive you back to the luxurious hotel in Moshi
